Easter 2014

I love Easter...the Easter Bunny comes and gives you treats, the new spring clothes, the egg hunt and of course the yummy food! I took some quick pics of the girls before church.
After Church we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We had EVERYONE come over including the neighbor's grandchildren come for the hunt. We have collected, I would say over a thousand eggs and I have been filling them all week. We did have LOTS of help hiding all the eggs...many hands make for fast work! Then we lined up all the kids youngest to oldest readying them for the hunt!
It was over in no time and I think that ALL the kids got plenty of eggs so that NO one went away sad!
After the hunt we had a yummy dinner together...well we did have the kids eat outside but that is together enough I think! It was a fun filled Easter and I think everyone had lots of fun!

Dressed ALL In White

On Saturday evening I took these sweet girls to the temple all dressed in white to get some pictures done for their baptism. These are a few of my favorites that I took...
Yes I copied this from when I did Elizabeth's but I LOVED it so much when I did it for her that I just had to do it for Abby too. I just love the arches through the entrance here. And I love the idea that she is walking towards the temple doors.
My sister Cory had sent me a pin from Pinterest that had a little girl holding up her blessing dress in her baptism dress, and I though it was so cute that I pulled out Abby's blessing dress. It reminds me of the poem about the 3 white dresses. Yes I know I get a little sappy when it comes to events like this!
These two girls were so cute posing in all the different ways that Brit and I made them do. Abby you have grown into a beautiful young lady that I just adore.

"Queenie" Is 8!

My baby is now 8! I can't believe how fast it all really goes. In our little family we only offer friend birthday parties on special birthday's. That is on your 8th, 12th, 16th...you get the idea. This started back on Elizabeth's 1st birthday when I went a little over board and had a BIG party and Josh got mad at me and put this law into place! As the years have passed I have come to be less excited about putting on friend parties.  Maybe because I live in friend party central and feel a bit intimidated by what I would have to put together. I'm telling you some of these parties are intense that my girls are invited to! Now to really get out of putting together a friend birthday party I offer my girls a deal....they can walk away with a $100 or have a friend party. With the $100 deal they still get cake and ice cream with family...which in my mind is a pretty good deal. So far they both have now taken the $100 deal. Abby for a while was seriously considering having the friend party but she came around. So since Abby's birthday was on Monday we had the whole family over on Sunday for cake and ice cream so that on Monday we could go out to eat to where ever Abby wanted to eat at! So she got 2 days ALL about her and she was LOVING it! She really earned her nickname (Queenie) this week!
On Monday morning Abby had Josh come wake me up to make her breakfast! Even though my mom offered to make it for her she insisted that "MOM makes the breakfast on our birthday's!!!" WOW... I was not getting out of anything with this girl. So I dragged myself out of bed to make french toast for the little Queen. Josh took her out to lunch that day for his little tradition, and we went out to eat that night. It was so wonderful to have Mark and Trudy come up for dinner on Monday night. Abby LOVED it!
Happy Birthday Abigail...this is a special birthday you are having this year. I can't wait until you are dressed all in white in a couple of weeks. You are truly a beautiful young lady!

Miss Olivia Drew Miller Comes Home

Miss Olivia Drew Miller is finally out of the NICU and has come home. The girls were SO excited to see Olivia for the first time! Isn't she just the cutest baby?!? I can't wait until she gets just a little bit bigger and start posing her for SO many pictures!!!

Moab...Last Day

Of course we couldn't leave Moab without a few more hikes under our belts! So after cleaning up the camp and packing EVERYTHING away we headed back to The Arches National Park to hike some more.First we stopped at the entrance sign so that I could have my picture of the girls by it...did I mention that I think I drove everyone crazy with the picture taking? Then it was off to the visitor's center for flush toilets! Oh how you start to miss the simple things in life like that! I of course made the girls pose for pictures there.
Our first hike for the day was Park Avenue. It was beautiful to walk through. Hannah was not happy until Josh got there to hold her through the hike. And since Hannah was getting held Gus-Gus didn't want to be out done by his sister and wanted his new BFF Elizabeth to hold him too. She tired to but couldn't for very long!
After Park Avenue we went to the North and South Windows and Turret Arch. These were very easy walks up to the Arches, which was good because I think we ALL were getting tired!

It was a fun and full few days that I know the girls will always remember. I am so happy that the Big Anderson's let us tag along with them on their vacation. Heather was the BEST guide out there, she is now going to be in charge of ALL of our vacations because....EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!!!
