Family Skate Night!

Oh the joys of the Lindon Elementary Family Skate Night! Thank heavens Amy was a good mom and took her camera and took LOTS of pictures and because of the great mother that I am I forgot! So I have become resourceful and stole a few of her pictures from her blog ...(Amy does this count as cutting and pasting your blog?)
I LOVE these ladies! Amy had us posing for MANY pictures! And because of the wonderful man Josh is he took them for us! And I also LOVE that "little" Andersen went skating with all the kids!

I did pull out my phone at the end of the night and snaped a picture of the girls as we were leaving! What a fun night of skating and hanging out with friends!

School Projects!

I think that school projects are just extra homework for parents! And the 4th grade has a few of them to do.  First there was the pumpkin book report... Elizabeth read a book on Anne Frank and here is her pumpkin to look like her...
Then she came home needing to make salt dough...this I told her that dad was REALLY good at making things and he was in charge of helping....
They had to make three different colors, it was fun to watch them work together....well it was fun for me to watch them work together!

Halloween 2013

This year the girls decided to go through our Halloween costume bin and find a costume to wear...And yes they thought of that ALL on their own! I was so happy that I didn't have to go out and buy them both new costumes! So Elizabeth was a vampire again this year and Abby was a witch again!
I LOVE this girl she wanted to do a crazy picture and this is what she came up with!!! I really don't know where she gets it from.
And of course this is Abby's crazy picture...her laughing! It was a fun day of candy, parties, and running around all dressed up!!!

Halloween Piano Recital

This years Halloween Piano Recital was Abby's FIRST recital! She was SO nervous but she did a wonderful job!!!Both the girls did an AMAZING job on their pieces.
I love that they take from the same teacher as their cousins! And they ALL did wonderful jobs playing for everyone.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our Pumpkins before Halloween. The girls did ALL of their carving pretty much by their self! Abby still did need a little bit of help getting started but for the most part they did it on their own! I can't believe my girls are big enough to do this. They also decided that they were going to design their own faces for their pumpkins, rather then use a printed guide....they are getting so big.
Josh did cut out all the tops for us and him and I shared a pumpkin to carve! I went with a more traditional face for our pumpkin!
Abby got a bloody nose half way through carving her pumpkin and got blood all over...but that just made it more like Halloween..who needs fake blood!
The girls and their pumpkins...the one on the end is not carved because it was for a school project for Elizabeth that we ended up dressing up like Anne Frank for her book report! And another year of pumpkin carving is over now...

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week was a few weeks ago and I know I am a little behind but I am finally getting around to catching up on my blog posts! During Red Ribbon Week each day is a different day for some kind of dressing up. Monday was PJ day, Tuesday was Mustache day, Wednesday, the only day I took pictures of, was crazy hair day, Thursday was dress as a bug day, and Friday was wear red day!
Here are the girls crazy hair for Wednesday....
In Elizabeth's hair we made a bird's nest! With a bird and some eggs and of course some leaves from the backyard! Abby is a little bit more conservative and so we made two cupcakes with cherries on top for her hair! The girls LOVED their hair!
It was a fun week of coming up with different things to wear each day! The girls had fun and so did I!
