Spring Is Here...Finally!

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not what you would call a green thumbed gardener! I think that it might be because I always forget to water and I hear that, that is an essential part of making things grow (that is just what I hear I'm not an expert by any means). So knowing this fact about me it is amazing that once a year I can pull of (and I'm tyring to be modest) a really good looking yard! Now, I do know that this is only because I don't have to do a single thing to make this happen, of course after I have planted the bulbs in the fall...wait let me correct this...after Josh has planted the bulbs in the fall! Anyway, the only reason I am sharing this is for my mother-in-law Trudy. She was up here when the bulbs were just coming up and wanted me to take pictures of the yard when it got pretty! So Trudy this is for you..P.S. It does look better in person.
Side Note/Story: So we have tulips and I have told my girls that the fairy's live in the tulips because they open in the mornings and close at night. My girls LOVE that we have fairy's living in our front yard! So about a week ago or so the girls were at my mom's house and this is the conversation that they had...
Elizabeth: Nana, Are you Indian?
My mom: Well I have some Indian in me.
Elizabeth: Because I'm half Indian! (Which for the record I never told her she is half she is only about 1/4 Indian)
Abby: Well I'm half Indian too and half Fairy!!!
Then I think she pretended to fly around!

I'm A Big Girl Now!

On April 14th Abigail turned 4 years old! Abby loves her birthday...I think it might be the presents and all the focus is on her! That day we had a special day. Josh, Abby and I went out to lunch together, then Abby and I went to the Nickel Arcade to play games, her pick of the place! The games were a little old for her but she said she had the best time. I won her a bunch of tickets and she picked out a treat for her and she even got a sucker for her sister! That evening we went over to my parents house and had a small party for her. My mom decorated with hello kitty stuff and even got pin the tail on the donkey! I have received all of my party planning skills from this woman!! Abby said she had the best birthday. A couple days later we went shopping at Walmart to spend the birthday money sent by Josh's parents and grandpa! This is my kids favorite part! Abby bought a hello kitty scooter (that Elizabeth has already tried to talk Abby out of), a new movie, and a princess beauty kit and still had a dollar left over! My girl knows how to shop! And now she is asking when her next birthday is!

This is Abigail's Video for the year. I hope all enjoy it, she is growing so fast!

Easter Activities

A few weeks ago our wonderful Aunt Lisa invited us to go to the Lehi Easter Egg Hunt! The girls had sooo much fun. It was a little crowed and chaotic but over all the girls cried when we had to leave, so I'm guessing that they liked it! After a small taste of swimming the girls can't wait for summer even more! Thank you Aunt Lisa for planning and invited us!

Easter morning the easter bunny leaves a trail of candy from the girls door all the way to their easter baskets. This year the bunny was smart and left baggies for the girls to pick up the candy on their way to their baskets. The girls loved all their easter treats from the easter bunny and from grandma and grandpa, thank you! Later that evening we went over to my parents house and had a easter egg hunt with my family. The kids all got lots of eggs and had fun. Deacon found the one egg with money in it! Of course I made sure he did. I think it is being the youngest and never being fast enough to get that egg that made me want Deacon to get it. Of course he was more interested in the candy then the money! Over all everyone had a good Easter!

A Little Bit of Culture

A couple of weeks ago the girls and I went to a Pow Wow at BYU. We met up with my sister and her family and Nicole and Bryn. I haven't been to one of these in years. Josh was out of town and missed out. The girls peppered me with questions about what everything was. Elizabeth asked me if you had to be an Indian to be able to go. It was a lot of fun. We watched the dancers and walked around the booths looking at all the stuff for sell. The girls were excited they got to pick out little Indian hair clips. The kids at one point went down on the main floor and danced with all the dancers. Let's just say I don't see a career for any of them in dancing... well maybe Deacon he was getting the beat pretty good. While we were there we saw my Auntie and Cousin and talked with them. It was nice to see them. We didn't stay long but the girls said that next time we need to take dad. This is a video out sweet Deacon feeling the music in him.
