I've Fallen And I CAN'T Get UP!

Saturday started out great. I got up early to go pick up our bountiful basket. I was very excited to see what we were going to get this week. We haven't done bountiful baskets in a LONG while so this was fun to start up again. Here is a picture of ALL the yummy goodness that we got in our basket...
Everything was going good, we had a very busy Saturday to get ready for and as I dropped off the basket in the kitchen, it all went down hill! Something in my back got pinched or went out or something because I found myself leaning over the counter not being able to move without major pain. My first thought was, "You have got to be kidding! Now how am I going to get my walking in today?"  I yelled for Josh, then had to text him HELP...KITCHEN! He came and I managed with a lot of pain I might add to move from leaning over the counter  to laying on the floor and there I was stuck. No one could touch me or move me! You really see that your kitchen floor needs to be cleaned more often when you spend some time laying on it! Josh and the girls kept laughing at me...because really it was sort of funny, but my mom, oh my mom didn't like that and started to get mad! And I think the more she got mad at them the more Josh thought it was funny!
The next challenge was to figure out how to get me to our bedroom. Josh got a blanket and he somehow rolled me onto it and then proceeded to dragged me to our room, where I stayed on the floor in our room for a couple of hours. With the help of Josh I did finally mange to get myself up into bed, where I stayed for the rest of the day! Sometimes I wonder if my life is just this big cosmic joke going on around me and I'm not catching on to the funny part of the joke!  It does seem sometimes that as soon as I start to crawl my way up out of this big giant hole that I call my body, life laughs at me then doesn't just push me down it KICKS me back down! I guess if you don't laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole thing all you would want to do is cry!
So on that note...Josh that morning when all of this was happening got on KSL and found me a new gift....
He said, "in this gene pool it was a sound investment!" You know the man isn't always appropriate but I do appreciate him. He helped me so much today. I was supposed to go help at a funeral luncheon and him and Abby went and took care of the whole thing for me. Then he came home and took care of me! He might laugh at me when I'm down but he is always there to pick me up!

Lindon Patriotic Sing

Friday was Lindon's Patriotic Sing at school. The orchestra played also, with their new orchestra shirts on. Elizabeth was very excited to be up on stage. I love that she LOVES being in Orchestra...now if she just loved practicing as much as she loves going...
I caught a picture of Abby while she was walking in to sit with the second grade classes. Isn't she so cute in her little Lindon T-Shirt?!
And these are essential to bring to ANY Lindon Sing....that is if you don't want a head ache by the end of the performances. Now before anyone thinks what an awful mother I am...I still can hear ALL the songs just not at such a LOUD volume!  And when MOM is HAPPY EVERYONE is HAPPY!!

Our Day Of Love...

We started the morning off with making hearts in the girls hair! You just can't go to school on Valentine's Day without a heart in your hair!! Thank you pinterest for helping out with that!
Then of course it was gift time....I made the girls these jars of gummy worms, and Josh and I gave them heart chocolates and of course every girl needs jewelry so I  had gotten them each a little bracelet. Yep we start young!
I miraculously didn't have to go to the school for a single party! I know even Josh was shocked. I did have to send in something for each of their parties but was not in charge or have to enter the school once!!! It was a nice day. The girls came home with handfuls of Valentines and Josh and I did send them each some Valegrams  at school. Our school has this thing on Valentines day that you can pay to send your child what is called a Valegram, which can be a balloon, chocolate sucker, card, pencil, etc...you get the idea. I have a love-hate relationship with this system. I do like that I can send my girls something on Valentines day and it's fun...but oh my, the pressure to send either one of everything or multiple balloons...So I try to make it as simple as possible. They each got one balloon and a sucker and a pencil. I think that this is respectable! After school the girls went with Nana to go see CAL's basketball game and then to dinner and to see the Lego Movie. They loved it! Thank you Nana for sitting through that movie so that I didn't have to! Josh took me to the temple and then out to dinner. It was a wonderful day of LOVE!

Just Getting Started on Valentines Day!

I'm starting to get ready for Valentines Day! You know how much I just LOVE Pinterest, well I got this off of it the other day and thought they were so cute and super easy, and I LOVE Rice Krispies but haven't been able to have them since I found out I'm allergic to the cereal! Which made me very sad but I was at the store with Abby and found Rice Krispies that were Gluten Free so both Abby and I could eat them and then it was definite we NEEDED these!
I printed little strips of paper for the kisses that said I love you on them. The girls LOVED them! The Gluten Free Rice Krispies were surprisingly VERY good!
More Valentine Pinterest crafts to come...this is if I get them done before Friday!

Hair Cuts...

Our Hair goddess, Sister Woolf fit us all in for an appointment to get hair cuts!  Elizabeth had been asking for a haircut for a while now, she said that she needed something more manageable! So she picked the length and Sister Woolf put in a few layers for her and of course fixed her bangs which I cut not so straight, but she said I am getting better at it!
While we were waiting for Elizabeth Abby was deciding if she wanted to cut her hair. She finally came to the conclusion that Sister Woolf could cut just a little off the bottom and give her more layers so that her curls would lay better and curl more! These are her words not mine!!
And now the girls don't look like such rag-a-muffins anymore...well at least for a while anyways!

I'm Getting Out of Hand...

I am addicted to the new circut iron-on stuff. I have been doing iron-on on EVERYTHING! For Christmas I got the girls each two blank shirts and told them they could design their own shirts. It only took me a month to fulfill this but we did it. Abby only has picked one of her shirts patterns she is a little bit more picky then most and this is it....
She said that she wanted to have a little mousy friend with her at all times while wearing the shirt. Honestly I don't know where this kid comes from! Elizabeth finished both of her shirts she picked an owl and and tie shirt.
Celeste is having a baby shower on today and I made these for her...Celeste likes Skulls so little Olivia will be punked out!
It is so much fun to do and so easy! So I will keep showing you all the fun things I make!
