Class Field Trips

I went on most of the field trips this year with the girls and their class...(Yes I am just trying to show you what a wonderful mother I am!) The girls were so excited to have me come with them on these field trips though because we were going on the bus! Abby told me that this would be the first time I would ride the bus. I told her that I had been on a bus before but she said no not with me!
Yes the bus, so it was like a million kids in an enclosed place with no where to escape, yeah that was a good idea! With Elizabeth's class we went to Thanksgiving point to the garden's or somewhere at Thanksgiving point...did I mention there was a million kids screaming on the bus. Then after we went to discovery park to have lunch. By the end and on the bus ride back to school my sweet little girl was so tired that she fell asleep on the bus, with all of the screaming kids, that I think is amazing!

I didn't sign up for Abby's field trip because I had already been on a few of her's and I didn't want to get on a bus again, my head was still hurting from the first time. But Abby's teacher called me and she must know that I apparently can't say no so I was signed up to go on yet another bus ride! Abby was ecstatic! We once again went to Thanksgiving point but this time we went to the farm area. It was kinda sad because it was rainy that day and they had to change some of it around but it worked out great. We got to see the animals and pet some of them and make a craft.

.

Two fun days with my girls and yes I will most likely be going on more bus rides in my life with these two, but next time I think I will bring earplugs!

Another Year Of Soccer!

This year I gave the girls a choice of one major summer activity that they could do. Yes I am a mean mom that didn't want to spend the whole summer driving from place to place. Well Abby picked soccer. Even though soccer is more spring and beginning of summer, this still counts! I was really surprised that she picked soccer again this year, since last year she didn't exactly show a whole lot of interest in running after a ball, but this was her choice and I signed her up. The season just ended this last Saturday and by the last 2 games I think that she finally was getting the idea of the game...she actually would run after the ball rather then run after the people who had the ball, BIG improvement! Now I do believe this is our last year doing soccer because of all the fights we had over the fit of shoes and that she didn't want to go to practice, but she finished out the season and we ALL survived, just!!
This picture is of her whole team after the last game with their metals that they all get at the end of the season.

Abby's Kindergarten Graduation

Abby's Kindergarten Graduation was May 29th and she was SO excited! I have to be honest it was a bit LONG, but very cute! This picture is of Abby getting her "diploma" for making it through her first year of school.
These are a couple of Abby's friends from school.

This is Abby's Teacher Mrs. Godfrey. She was such a wonderful teacher that Abby just loved.
We are so happy for Abby on her day! And she was extra happy that Josh made it to see her graduate!!

Blog Jumping

So I know that I am jumping all around on my blog, but I'm playing catch up and getting my pictures all mixed up, so just remember I had brain surgery and can't remember anything....
On Mother's Day I wanted to get a picture of my mom and my sisters all together. After some complaining and whinnying we got outside and Josh was our photographer. I know what you are thinking Josh as our photographer...oh all the things that could go wrong! I don't think that one of the pictures turned out that we all agree on, but there was a few that I think were good. It is just nice to have a picture of us girls...this is just our baby steps to a family picture. I think our last Cole Family picture was before even Cory got married, so it is safe to say that us Cole's aren't exactly picture people!

Date Night

Josh and I really do have some of the greatest friends around! The other night we all went out together. We played Laser tag, which by the way I am really bad at, Josh tells me that a crippled like me really didn't have a chance...I love that my husband is so supportive of me! Then we went to get Frozen Yogurt at U-Swirl, my favorite place. And to get their we decided to all get in the Andersen's van...so there wasn't a whole lot of room for the Tippetts, so they stuck us in the back! After Froyo we went to see the Avengers, which I was dieing to see and since I'm not exactly married to a movie goer I hadn't seen it yet. So I bought Josh a large popcorn and a drink to keep him busy and we saw the movie. Best Night EVER!

Field Day at Lindon

I love Field Day at Lindon. They start off the day with a mile run. They go in two groups the first group is the older kids 4-6 grade then the younger kids K-3. These are the girls before their runs...
The first 3 kids that come in get metals then the first 10 boys and the first 10 girls get blue ribbons. Elizabeth has always done pretty good, but she told me that she was getting older now and doesn't run as fast...she is slowing down in her old age! And pretty much not to expect too much from her this year. So I didn't, but she came in with the first group of kids and got a blue ribbon, the only girl in her class to do so. She was very excited and said that she even fell once and didn't run her hardest! Josh says this may be the one good thing she gets from me! Yeah!! Abby did pretty good she did come in with some of the bigger kids.
After the run the kids play all different game on the field all day long. It is a fun day for them. Can't wait for next year!

The Best Mother's Day Gift Of All

Joshua Mark Tippetts was born on a Mother's Day, and his wonderful mom always says that he was the best Mother's Day gift of all! Today on Mother's Day I got to share the day with my best friend. Now I know Josh is going to be rolling his eyes at this post, because he thinks that I hate to share MY day with him. And I have to say in the past I have not been the most...lets just say gracious person when it has come to Josh's birthday landing on Mother's Day, but today was honestly I think my favorite Mother's day so far. Just look at how I'm finally maturing! We started the day, in my mind, very early. The girls came running down stairs at about a minute after 7am to sing Happy Birthday to Josh and to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. They brought me a GIANT card, and when I say giant I mean it I think its as big as Abby, and jumped all over Josh to see if he wanted breakfast yet. I made him heart shaped pancakes and the girls made him put on the birthday crown. This is what happens when you have only girls! Just look how happy Josh is to be wearing that crown!
So I had asked Josh what kind of cake he would like for his birthday, expecting him to say fun-fetti, which is easy right out of a box, but he wanted his mom's strawberry cake. Now I haven't had too much luck in the past duplicating Trudy's recipes...I think mainly because she seems to give me a slightly different recipe then what she uses...but for Josh I was willing to give it another try. Well, lets just say it once again didn't turn out! And Josh was able to tell me that it just wasn't as good as his mom's, which I am slightly convinced is Trudy's plan! Oh well at least I tried right? This is my cake. It tasted alright which Trudy assured me is all that really matters, I love my mother-in-law!

On Monday at work Josh had a pirate themed birthday party. Elizabeth was at school so missed the party but Abby was sure to rub it in that she got to go!

Happy Birthday to my very Best Friend!
