First Day Of School
And we are off to the start of another year! Elizabeth is starting 5th grade and Abby is starting 3rd grade. I can't believe how fast this is all going. We attending back to school night the night before and the girls were SO very excited for everything! They laid out everything that they would need that night...so they wouldn't forget anything! It was so cute they even half way packed their lunches and then left themselves notes to "finish" the lunch packing! I love these girls so much and do miss them when they are gone all day...but I had a good day too. I took my mom to lunch and a movie while they went to school to learn....so it was a successful day all around! The girls already love their new teachers and are happy that school is back in!

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
At the start of the summer I got these tickets to go to Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for in August. So of course I wait until the last minute to use them. They were good for August 1st-16th at the outdoor theater in Orem. I had 4 tickets and Josh did not want to go to a musical so we took Nana! This is Elizabeth's favorite movie so she was so excited to see the play. It did rain a little while we were there and they had to stop the play for a little bit but it stopped and they continued. It ended late and everyone was tired but overall the girls and even Nana thought it was a fun activity to do before school starts!
This Is The Place
At the beginning of the summer the girls made their lists of activities that they wanted to do. Elizabeth's top choice was to go to This Is The Place Monument. She had just finished 4th grade Utah history and LOVED it and couldn't wait to see the place that she learned about. I had never been there so I thought it would be fun to go. The summer has gone by so fast and we hadn't gone yet so on this last week of summer break I packed the girls in the car and just us girls went. The girls LOVED it! We spent most of the day walking around and going through all the houses. This is a picture of the girls pointing to a Tippets that they found that came into the Valley on the same day that Brigham Young did!
Before we even got to the sign on this statue Elizabeth knew the names of the men in it! This impressed a couple of ladies that were standing by it. She did this ALL day pulling out all the facts that she knew and blowing away the people that were there!
This is the actual place that Historians believe Brigham Young said those famous words. And he wasn't standing up he was in the back of a wagon sick. But he pulled his head up and looked out at this point and said, "This is the Right Place..."
Elizabeth would stop and take notes throughout this whole day with any fact that she did not already know about....Honestly I don't know where this kids comes from....she was driving Abby crazy stopping and reading EVERYTHING then writing it down in her little book...it's a good thing Josh didn't go because I think it would drive him crazy as well....Me on the other hand LOVED it! For this picture Abby didn't want to be left out so she told me she would pretend to write down something!
The stilts were pretty unsuccessful they, never got up on them. Elizabeth after said that it was a lot harder then it looked! The girls made me take pictures of them in all the cars of the wooden train...these are only a few because really how many pictures does two girls need of themselves?
It was a LONG and VERY FUN day! The girls enjoyed every minute of it...and I did too!

Lindon Days!
It has been a few years since we have gone to the Lindon Days parade but this year we got ourselves out of bed...well lets be honest I got myself out of bed in time to go to the parade. Lindon's parade is smaller then the other one's that we go to...but it's super cute...very small town feel. The girls got lots of candy that was thrown... so really... it was a good day all around!
Hanging At The Pond!
The Big Anderson's invited us to the pond with them the other day so of course we went! The weather has been so crazy this summer when we got there it started to rain and get pretty windy....and then two minutes later it stopped and the sun came out and it was super hot! This time we came prepared with sand toys for the kids to dig in the sand. They had a blast making what they called "hot tubs"! We ended up spending half the day there and all the kids had so much fun.
Elizabeth and Abby made a special "hot tub" just for the little kids that included a river around it that ran back into the pond...they were pretty proud of it!

Miss Olivia's First Museum Trip!
The girls and I took Little Miss Olivia with us the other day to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. We thought that we would give her just a little bit of culture. She LOVED it! Well... she loved it as much as a baby can love it while being strolled in a stroller around. The girls loved it and it was that much more fun to have Olivia with us.
The girls did everything they could and I just adore how big Elizabeth is getting she now wants to stop and read all the information at every place. It drove Abby crazy! She has finally discovered a LOVE of learning! That only took 10 years but now I have to work on Abby...good thing I only have 2 kids I'm getting tired!
Olivia was perfect the whole time...was just happy to be along with the big girls!
