A Whole Lot Of Firsts!

This week has been filled with a whole lot of firsts for us! And I know, it's only Tuesday! Well actually my story is going to start on Saturday night but really who's to say my week doesn't start there, they all run into each other for me anyway!
So Beth aka: Elizabeth: still trying to remember to call her that, asked us about a week ago if she could buy a fish with her own money. She had some money from Easter and from Grandma Trudy, thanks alot, by the way! And if you know us we are NOT PET PEOPLE! So naturally we said no. She asked and asked so then we said you will have to ask Nana, because it is her house, and knowing that she of all people was NOT A PET PERSON too she would say no, well... that didn't happen. Like all women who become grandmas the word no, that they were soooo familiar with when we were young, simply doesn't seem to be apart of their vocabulary any more! So Josh and I just looked at each other and thought it could be worse she could want something you really had to take care of and said she could have a fish, but she had to take care of it and pay for everything!! To say the girl was excited is just not the right word, she was jumping out of her seat when we got to Walmart and had to find an employee herself and ask if she could get a fish. She did it all by her self!! She picked 5 fishes and got a bowl with some decorations for it and some food and she left Walmart a pet owner! She feeds them and talks to them and even answers back for them! She gives them kisses at night and yes her and Abby pray for them every time they say a prayer! They pray that they don't die! She has named each of them. Their names are Bubbles, Orange, Shinny, Lizzy, and Lily! Just just sits and watches them swim and talks to them!

On Monday was our next 1st adventure. For Family Home Evening we went on a family bike ride all together. Josh got a bike this year for his birthday, and yes I do know that his birthday is May 13 and it hasn't happened yet, but Abby already told him, she can't keep a secret, so we thought we would give it to him now so we could enjoy the good weather now! So we all went out together, oh and there is not a picture of me because I didn't like how it turned out and really I'm the one writing this blog so it didn't make the blog! We made it around the neighborhood when Beth looked down and she had injured her ankle! Yes there was blood everywhere and got down into her shoe. Funny thing is she didn't even know it was there until she looked down and then it was like her whole leg was injured and she could no longer function! Drama! But it was fun and we look forward to more family bike rides!

Tuesday Morning marked the 1st day of my mom's return to school! Claudia Cole is a BYU student!!! She was a little nervous and we spent yesterday finding her classes on a map and where to park. I am just so proud of her for going back to school and finishing her education. This morning I woke up early, well early for me just to catch her before she left to get her back to school picture and make sure she remembered to be nice to all the kids even the one's that don't have any friends! We all have teased her about the importance of focusing on her studies and not on the 24 year old boys!!! Mom you will do great!!!

By Tuesday afternoon we were holding our first pet funeral!! Bubbles is DEAD! I had to pick up Beth from school today only to inform her that Bubbles was in fact dead. We wondered this morning why she wasn't coming out of her house and just lying there. I went on the internet to find out what was up with her fish! And yes she died! I have only one word, TEARS!!! Lots and lots of tears. Beth was beside her self with grief over her beloved gold fish! Abby however was just excited to be digging in the ground and did pull off a few fake cries! But now Bubbles is berried underneath the tree in the back yard and will always be remembered! All I can say is that Josh is in charge of the next death of a pet, because my giggles were not helping!
