Elizabeth's Spring Piano Recital was last Friday. She got her Guild report card back with a certificate and pin for passing the required test and is declared a Local winner, elementary class, in National Piano Auditions, and is entitled to membership in the National Fraternity of Student Musicians, Student Division of American College of Musicians, and Piano Hobbyists of the World for One Year! She also earned her statue that she has been working on in and outside the lessons. Her teacher gives out a statue of a composer of the child's choice to those that complete a certain number of tasks. This is the first year that Elizabeth has gotten a statue and she was SO excited! She played one of her Guild piano pieces for the recital and she did so well! I am so proud of how well she is coming along in her piano playing, even with all of the fights we have over practicing! I am hoping some day that she will appreciate learning this skill, and am a tiny bit hoping that she gets a child just like her when she has her own family- I have come the believe that this is really what keeps a mother going!

Garden Planted!
We finally planted to garden a few weeks ago and things are growing! Of course they are on an automatic watering system so other then keeping the weeds out and making sure the wild life doesn't eat ALL of our plants, we are doing pretty good at growing everything! (the little critters have already eaten a cucumber plant, and a few leaves off of some tomato plants) I am very excited our first strawberry is almost completely red and ready to pick!

Blog Books!
I have finally finished putting together my 2012 blog book and have gotten back my book. I am now up to date with all of my books. Each year I put the last year's blog posts in a book so that my family can look back on the record of our past years. The girls LOVE to look at pictures of themselves! The previous three years I haven't really blogged a whole lot so I haven't had them done in a hard cover, but because I was particularly chatty in 2012 is was just as cheap to do the hard cover as it was the paper one. It takes me a full day to put the book together, but I think it is worth it. I use Blurb.com which makes it much easier to put my whole blog into a book form. This Website just pulls ALL of your blog posts into it's program so that you can make your book.
