Recap of January

Dinner With the Family:
We had a nice dinner with my whole family one night and Celeste decided that she wanted Bryce to cut his hair...notice I didn't say Bryce decided! So after dinner that night we got Josh's clippers out and set out to cut Bryce's hair. To his surprise it was way shorter then he asked it to be...directions given by Celeste of course (Oh did I mention that I was the one cutting his hair!) But Bryce is SO nice that he just laughed about it, I don't know how much he really liked it though. Then Cory jumped in on the cutting and wanted the boys to get their hair cut so I taught Celeste how to cut every ones hair off...I only know how to cut one style, that's Josh's style, so everyone got Josh haircuts!!! The last picture of Deacon...we left his side burns for a joke, my mom didn't like the joke and told us to cut them off, so we did.
New Years Eve:
In the almost 9 years of our marriage I don't think Josh or I have EVER made it to midnight on New Years Eve before. Yes it is sad that we may be the oldest young couple ever, but what can I say we like our sleep! Some friends of ours invited us over for a New Years Eve party. Honestly I didn't have hopes of us staying for the whole thing. I thought we would be so tired and leave about 10:30pm maybe, but those Andersen's they know how to throw a New Years Eve Party! We had so much fun. We played minute to win it games and built rockets to shoot up at midnight. So there you have it Josh and my first New Years Eve party as a married couple, it only took us 9 years but I did always know that we were a little slow on things!
Celeste's Birthday:
January 9th is my big sister's birthday! We had a party for her at the office. I got her girly pirate themed decorations to decorate her office and I got an ice cream cake that was just so good everyone ate it up! Later that week Cory and I took Celeste out to dinner and a movie. I love our sister outings for our birthday's we have so much fun!

Finally Some Snow:
It finally snowed some and the snow stayed for a little while so the girls were dying to make snowmen. I myself have never made a snowman so this was my first. I know sad, but what can I say I grew up in California and got to say never really got the appeal of going out in the Cold and playing in ice! But we went out and Elizabeth had to teach me how to make the big snow balls by rolling them on the ground and the snow picks up more snow the make even bigger snow balls...who knew this kid was so smart! She told me she learned it from a cartoon!!! So my snowman is the one in the middle then Elizabeth and Abby are behind the one's they made all by themselves! Abby thought ahead and brought out two hats and two scarves, one for her and one for her snowman...Now that's planning, Elizabeth and I had to take off what we were wearing to put on our snowmen!

  1. January was definitely busy for you. Love the "Josh" haircuts! I'm with your mom on the sideburns. Poor Bryce didn't know what he was getting into, did he?
I'm proud of the two of you for staying up for New Year's Eve. Good friends make things fun.
Abby is amazing. Thinking ahead and taking care of her snowman. You made a really cute snowman family.
You are lucky to have such wonderful sisters to share precious moments with.
